This year Valentine’s Day is going to look much different than normal…false, who am I kidding? We usually order sushi and watch TV, pandemic or not. Although I feel like now that we shouldn’t go out, it makes me want to GO OUT!
Sequins are almost always required for holiday celebrations and Express has been killing it with the sequin game lately. I wore these amazing leggings over Christmas and got so many compliments. They actually got marked down to $35 on clearance! Last month I picked up the white sequin sweater that I wore for New Year’s Eve and now this gorgeous black bodysuit I rocked for our Valentine’s Day dinner. The bodysuit is flattering and has some shoulder padding, which brings a very feminine look to the outfit. The bodysuit has a thong bottom and button closure, which is perfect especially when wearing tight pants.
Speaking of tight pants, the ones I’m wearing are by Spanx. I’m finally not wearing leggings! I’m a big fan of the Spanx faux leather leggings, so I was super excited to get my hands on these. Most women’s dress pants are usually pretty awful on me, but my favorites are the Jcrew Pixie Pants. I’d rate these Spanx pants a 4/5. I wish they had a little more support sucking the tummy in like their leggings, but overall the fit is good. The fabric is fantastic: thick and stretchy. They run true to size and perfect for shorter gals like me, as they hit right at the ankle. The best part is, they feel like leggings but look like dress pants. Regardless if you are staying in or going out, these pants are a great addition to your wardrobe. Classics!
