Gucci tights are all the rage this year. Stores can’t keep them stocked, and everyone and their moms are rocking them. This may be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it. I purchased mine for $100 last fall. They have had a slight price increase since then and continue to sell out, but they do come back in stock often. I love the way these spice up every outfit. From dresses to skirts, to shorts, you can wear them with so much. Here I am pairing them with a cozy sweater dress. I was hesitant to spend this much on tights, but I think they are worth the splurge. I took my normal small size and they fit fine and there is some stretch in them. For reference, I’m 5’3, about 120 pounds. I’ve worn them numerous times and thankfully haven’t had any issues with runs, but they are fishnets, so you do have to be careful, as they will catch easily.
For this Gucci tights outfit, I paired faux leather shorts for an edgy look. I’ve been big into faux leather lately. I’ve mentioned my love for faux leather leggings in several posts, here and here, most recently, here. A few months ago, I even ordered these Commando faux leather joggers, which looked awful on me. The last item on my faux leather wishlist was a pair of shorts. I wanted to wear them with my Gucci tights, but I was really struggling to find a pair that fit well. I tried a few different types and ended up finding some on Amazon for under $30. I like a high-rise fit and didn’t want to break the bank on a trendy item, and these are perfect for me! I did size down to an x-small, as the small fit a tad loose on me.
My sweater is a classic turtleneck also from Amazon. It’s under $20, and my favorite black turtleneck I own. I reach for this one the most often. The fit is thin and short, not necessarily cropped, but perfect for tucking in.
