I’ve been eyeing the Chanel XXL since it was released in 2016, but never able to commit because I figured the bag would be too big for me. In particular, Lorna Luxe has some gorgeous inspo for this bag. I finally decided to pull the trigger after seeing Lorna Luxe wearing it around casually. I was happy to hear that it was released for the 20A season! Yes, I bought a travel bag in the middle of a pandemic, when I’m not traveling 😂.
Welcome my gorgeous black Chanel XXL with ruthenium hardware. This season’s XXL is smaller than the 2016 version, but unlike previous versions, this one has the trolley pocket in the back. I loved this feature since the pocket can easily be unzipped and attached to a carry on bag. The fact that the bag is smaller allows me to comfortably wear it every day. Especially when things start going back to normal and I head back to the office.
While this bag is not for everyone, certainly don’t ignore it due to its size. I’m 5’3, and I love how it looks on me; however, I prefer big bags. Love my Maxi and my Chain around Maxi wearing here. My current favorite day bag is my Goyard GM. Unlike the other classic flaps, the XXL is less structured and more slouchy. If you can get your hands on one, I highly recommend it! I know the RealReal and Fashionphile both offer them from time to time, otherwise work with an SA at Chanel.
