When I first started wearing skincare, an old friend of mine said “never cheap out on skincare”. She is also the reason I started wearing eye cream at 20 years old. I’ve always listened to that feedback. I get a majority of my skincare at Sephora, as I’m obsessed with Drunk Elephant (check out my last Sephora post here), but there are a few higher-end brands that they don’t carry. I usually venture to department stores during their sales to stock up! Just so happens that Bloomingdales is currently running a beauty sale where you get $20 off every $150 through 4/3, so I’ve gathered some of my favorite holy grail products you can shop:
Sisley Paris Supreme Night Anti-Aging Eye Cream
This is the one product I couldn’t live without. I’ve raved about this eye cream on my Instagram before. It’s hands down the best eye cream on the market. After my first month of using this product, I noticed my under eyes looking more youthful and a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles. I wear it every single night and take it with me if we travel. It is quite the splurge, but worth it! I always have a backup ready!
Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask
Another favorite item from Sisley is their Rose Mask. It’s a 20-minute mask that leaves my skin feeling bright and soft. I usually use it once a week, especially when I feel my skin needs a little refresh or feels dull. It’s a great pick me up for an “I just got a facial” glow. As I mentioned with the eye cream above, I tend to wait for this item to go on sale, but I’ve also been lucky to find it at Costco for a great price.
Sisley Paris Black Rose Face Oil
In the Sisley Black Rose Collection, I also love the Black Rose Face Oil. It’s a lightweight oil for dry skin and perfect for cold weather or even skin that has seen too much sun. It nourishes and smooths the skin, reducing wrinkles. I switch off between this oil and my Drunk Elephant oil in the mornings. This one is loaded with more wrinkle-fighting ingredients.
Sisley Paris Blur Expert Finishing Powder
Even though I’ve been using Sisley products for years, I had never tried the Blur Expert Finishing Powder until one of my favorite bloggers mentioned it. This finishing powder is a 10/10 at blurring pores and skin to look perfect. It’s another splurge item, but so far, the container has lasted me quite some time. I layer the powder over my BB cream for a perfect canvas and finish, but you can also layer this on top of the Laura Mercier translucent powder. It looks smooth and not cake-like. It’s also a great powder to keep in your purse for blotting during the day if needed.
I had honestly never heard about this brand until I saw Lorna Luxe mention it. She loved the results, so I tried it for myself. As soon as I included this in my daily routine, I was getting compliments left and right. My skin looks clear and glowing. The product is a CC serum, but I mostly wear it like a primer. On vacation, I wear it alone with no foundation with a little blush and mascara. Super easy look for the summer as well! It’s light, silky, and goes on smooth. The coverage is sheer, but it blurs out imperfections well. Plus, it’s loaded with other skin-boosting vitamins. It’s pricey at $90 a pop, but I’ve already repurchased a backup with this sale.
Chanel LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream
This is my go-to bronzer and contour product. It’s a perfect shade for my fair skin, not too dark, not too light, and I love that it has no sparkles or glitter. It’s just a solid bronzer that gives you a subtle glow. The texture is creamy and buildable. It also lasts a long time! All of Chanel’s Les Beiges products are amazing!
